Unwanted Kit is a combination of Mifepristone and Misoprostol used to medically terminate early pregnancy, generally up to 63–70 days (9–10 weeks) of gestation. It works by blocking the progesterone hormone needed for pregnancy and inducing uterine contractions to expel the pregnancy. It must only be used under gynecologist supervision. 1mg 1mg +5 Key Uses and Procedures Medical Abortion: Termination of unwanted early pregnancy (up to 63-70 days). Contraceptive Failure: Often used when contraception fails or in cases of unprotected sex resulting in pregnancy. Procedure: A single mifepristone tablet is taken (usually orally) to stop pregnancy growth, followed 24–48 hours later by misoprostol tablets (orally or vaginally) to induce contraction and abortion. 1mg 1mg +4 Important Safety Information Supervision Mandatory: A doctor must confirm an intrauterine pregnancy via ultrasound before use to rule out ectopic pregnancy. Side Effects: Includes heavy bleeding, abdominal pain, fever, and nausea. Follow-up: A follow-up visit and ultrasound are required 10–14 days after the procedure to ensure the abortion is complete. Contraindications: Should be avoided in cases of asthma, severe anemia, or if using specific medications, as detailed in the Unwanted Kit safety information from NCERT Books.
